One of the most enjoyable parts of collecting for me has been the many friends I have made, in Australia and around the world, through our shared love of our hobby. When I first started collecting nearly 40 years ago, there were a few local Doll Clubs, although not many of the members collected Barbie or fashion dolls. I was one of the founders of the Australian Barbie Club in the late 1980s, which led to a large network of friends and fellow collectors. ABC holds Barbie conventions and club meetings (in real life, or these days, via Zoom), and has a regular newsletter as well as a facebook group. I recommend joining a number of groups, and have listed some below to cover various interests. Please note that a lot of the Buying and Selling Groups are based overseas, mostly in the USA, so their prices are in US dollars and the shipping can be quite high. Have fun!
